"after trying to contact several builders I went onto the Bookabuilder, a huge thank you to GT Joinery/ builders to answering my sos, as I needed a small job, one course of bricks laying for a stable to go on, which was being delivered 8th October, the lads where here when they said they would be, friendly, great job, thank you for your help and I will use you again, Amanda Robinson"
"I arranged for a visit to quote for a loft conversion. On the day of the visit, no one had turned up but I had to call them to find out what was going on. They told me they were busy and were unable to visit.
We rearranged the appointment and again on the day of the visit, no one turned up so I had to message them to see what was going on. I recieved a reply and was told that I would get a call the next day to rearrange again. I am still waiting for that call.
If they are this bad at organising a quote, how bad would they be at organising the job?
Not happy, steer clear."
"We chose GT Joinery & Building to completely refurb our house. We had to strip out the plaster from every room , rewire the house, re-plumb the whole house, fit an existing shower room, build a new bathroom, take out a chimney stack, fit a roof lantern, bi-fold doors and new French windows, fit new hardwood Oak floors, tiling, kitchen etc: It was a big job and as someone who works in the Construction industry I monitored all of their work and it was completed on budget to a very high professional standard.
When undertaking works like this you need to have a good working relationship with your contractor and be ready for thing to go wrong and over run. Contractors will have other jobs going when carrying out your works and things will get held up while they are balancing resources and manpower, so you must be flexible with them.
I highly recommend Tommy and his team, especially Lee who is so methodical and his engineering background shows with all of the technical work he does.
